Grand Kampar Hotel Overview
grand kampar hotelGrand Kampar Hotel has 155 rooms at attractive tariffs. With an impressive Spanish architecture, it is situated in the heart of Taman Bandar Kampar, which is the fastest growing township in the area.

Located within the vicinity of the hotel is KTAR, UTAR (Main Cempus), banks, corporations, and factories. A wide variety of restaurants and bistros are within walking distance. Eco-recreation activities such as bird watching, tracking, fishing and white water rafting are within easy reach.

Kampar is a town in the state of Perak, Malaysia. It is situated due south of Simpang Pulai. It was a tin mining town which boomed during the heights of the tin mining industry. There used to be many tin mines on the outskirts of Kampar, but most have closed down following the collapse of the industry. Kampar was established in 1887.

Kampar celebrated its centennial year in grand fashion back in 1987. The name Kampar came from the word kam pou which in Cantonese means precious gold in reference to its large tin reserves.

To many outsiders, they come to know Kampar through two type of food : Kampar Chicken Biscuit and Kampar Fishball Noodle. The Kampar Chicken Biscuit is so famous that it has spawn a whole series of 'chicken biscuit' producers. As for Kampar Fishball Noodle, its relationship with the town Kampar remains as a myth.
